A young woman thinks only of her career ambitions. Her long-distance boyfriend wants more attention than she’s willing to give him, and behaves spitefully when he doesn’t get it. With the ordinary hubris of a twenty-something living in New York City (and the encouragement of a few artist friends) she takes up a bit of sex work and all her emotional avoidance catches up with her. There’s sex, some drugs, a little violence, and a sprinkling of observations on capitalism and male psychology.
