This is not a love story. This is the story of an emotionally stunted twenty-something woman in NYC who thinks only of her career ambitions. Her long-distance boyfriend wants more attention than she’s willing to give him, and behaves spitefully when he doesn’t get it. Motivated by money, curiosity, and the alternative lifestyles of a few artist friends, she takes up a bit of sex work. Eventually her emotional avoidance catches up with her. There’s sex, some drugs, a little violence, unspoken familial trauma, and a sprinkling of observations on capitalism and male psychology.
